NEXCN44 ®( CuNi44 ) is notable for its low temperature coefficient and high resistance to oxidation and chemical corrosion. The alloy is non-magnetic. It is suitable for electrical resistors, potentiometers, heating wires, heating cables and mats. Ribbon are used for heating bimetals. Because of its high EMF against copper, it is not suitable for electrical precision resistors, therefore we recommend NEXMANGAN®, NEXTMCM25 or NEXZERAN®. Due to its high thermal EMF against copper, NEXCN44 ® ( CuNi44 ) is also used for thermocouples and compensation cables. For resistance and heating applications, the maximum working temperature in air is +600℃.
Due to high tensile strength and increased resistivity values, Nexteck copper nickel alloy wires are the first choice for applications as resistance wires. With the different nickel amount in this product range, the characteristics of the wire can be chosen according to your requirements. NEXCN44 ®( CuNi44 ) is supplied in the form of round wire in the dimension 0.02 to 8.00 in bare, oxide-insulated or enameled condition. The range also includes flate wires, stranded wires, ribbon, sheet and foils.
